LONDON, January 2021 - CNA Hardy has announced the appointment of Michael Phipps to the role of Vice President, Head of Claims (UK & Continental Europe).
He joins CNA Hardy from The Hartford where he is currently the Chief Claims Officer, International, and has previously held senior claims roles at both Navigators and Chubb.
Mike will report to Jalil Ur Rehman, President and CEO of CNA Hardy and Dan Franzetti EVP Head of Worldwide Claims.
Rehman commented, “Mike has a stellar background, and brings strong leadership in both operational and technical claims as well as considerable multi-jurisdictional knowledge which he gained from his time working in the UK, Europe and Asia Pacific insurance markets.”

Phipps is expected to join CNA Hardy towards the end of the first quarter and will be based in London.
