LONDON, 23 November 2015 – CNA Hardy has further expanded its regional presence with the opening of its fifth UK office, in Birmingham. This marks the second UK office opening in 2015 for CNA Hardy.
Craig Jones - Newey has been appointed as Regional Manager for Midlands and the South West, based in Birmingham. Reporting to Elliot Miller, Head of UK Regions, Craig will be responsible for the day-to-day operations in Birmingham, as well as developing the CNA Hardy brand and presence across the UK Midlands. Craig joins CNA Hardy from AIG.
Building stronger and deeper relationships with external partners is a strategic priority across the organisation. Elliot Miller was appointed as Head of UK Regions earlier this year, to develop and execute a strategy to build CNA Hardy’s presence outside of London; and to drive profitable growth from both a product and segment perspective, with an emphasis on client focused underwriting and cross class solutions.
Following Elliot’s appointment, a number of significant hires have been made in Manchester. Simon Hodgin joined from Sterling Insurance in May, as Regional Manager for the North. Simon’s appointment was closely followed by Senior Liability and Property Development Underwriters Neil Stephenson and Matt Rigby from QBE, and Lisa Raby as Professions Underwriting Assistant from Willis. Chris Thompson and Mark Armstrong have also recently been appointed as Life Science, Technology and Cyber Development Senior Development Underwriters, joining from Chubb.
The new Glasgow office opened in August. Archie Johnson joined CNA Hardy from Zurich as Property and Casualty Manager, supported by Senior Property Development Underwriter Stephanie Wilson and Underwriting Assistant Gemma Findlay who both joined from QBE.
Andy Clements was appointed as Distribution Director, Europe. Joining from Travellers, Andy is now responsible for building effective and long lasting strategic relationships with our broker partners. Setting and leading a cohesive distribution strategy across CNA Hardy in the UK & Europe to assist in driving profitable growth across all products and industry segments.
