At CNA Hardy, we believe talent comes in many forms. That’s why our flagship 18-month Insurance Trainee programme, starting in September 2026, is designed for ambitious individuals at the beginning of their professional journey. The programme is open to school leavers, graduates and candidates with up to two years post education experience.
Successful applicants will spend their time on a development programme rotating across the business that will involve a combination of facilitated learning and on-the-job training, whilst completing the Level 4 Insurance Professional Apprenticeship which includes the CII Diploma qualification. At the end of the programme, the trainees will move into a permanent role within the organisation.
So, whether you’re leaving education or have up to two years of work experience, this is your chance to step into a permanent role and build a rewarding career.

- Underwriting – London & Manchester
- Claims – London
- Actuarial & Risk – London
The trainee programme gives you the opportunity to get hands-on experience across the business, you’ll undertake structured learning and professional development sessions, and all this whilst achieving your CII Certificate and starting your journey toward the CII Diploma.
Once you have completed the initial 18 months rotational programme you’ll transition into a permanent role within your chosen pathway.
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking individuals who demonstrate a genuine interest in building a career in insurance, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and development. Ideal candidates will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. A proactive, solutions-focused mindset is essential, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and applicants should embody our L.E.A.P. behaviours: Lead, Engage, Adapt, and Perform
