5 July 2018: CNA Hardy, a leading specialist commercial insurance provider for clients within the Lloyd’s and company markets, is pleased to announce the appointment of Rhonda Buege as Head of its’ augmented Specialty Business Unit, effective immediately.
The new business unit will comprise all existing Healthcare and Specialty line products across both company and Lloyd’s platforms.
Reporting to Patrick Gage, CUO, Rhonda will now be responsible for CNA Hardy’s specialty product portfolio across the UK, Europe, Canada and Asia.

Rhonda has significant experience and a proven track record of building profitable businesses and highly effective teams, having held numerous leadership roles during her career and I am delighted that we can leverage her underwriting expertise as well as her strong broker relationships across the globe to build out our proposition and capabilities in this manner.”
Rhonda began her insurance career in 1998 at the St. Paul Companies. In 2002 she joined CNA’s Healthcare business in New York and held a variety of underwriting and underwriting management roles during her time there. In 2007 she moved to the London operation to build a healthcare business across the UK and Continental Europe. Shortly thereafter, Rhonda expanded that business to include life science. In 2015, Rhonda began leading the Technology and Cyber business in addition to her existing responsibilities. That same year she launched our Healthcare capabilities on the Lloyd’s platform in London and Singapore.
